Welcome To The Bronx Pages
Places To Eat In And Around The Bronx
Alexanders Cafe - Situated amidst an array of vintage shops, this affable eatery is the perfect end to an afternoon of ardent antiquing. Opened in July 2007, this cozy cafe sports a sleek and modern décor defined by dark wood tables, black leather chairs, soft lighting, and fresh flowers, which style an inviting atmosphere. |

Arthur Avenue Cafe - Our family history in the Belmont community started with our maternal grandparents who migrated from Naples to America in 1919. Nonno (Grandfather) Gennaro was from the heart of Naples and Nonnabella, as we called our grandmother, was from Nola (home of the Giglio Festival or Festival Of The Dancing Towers). They originally settled in the Greenpoint area of Brooklyn. However, they were encouraged to move to the Bronx where it was considered to be country and “l’aria era piu fresca” (the air was fresher) as our grandmother would say. (At that time, The Arthur Avenue Retail Market was originally a sheep meadow.)

Arties Steak & Seafood - Artie's has been on City Island for almost 50 years, but over the past 8 years our new ownership team has been carefully transforming Artie's Steak & Seafood into one of the best restaurants in the entire area. When you think of City Island, your idea of a meal may be a fisherman's platter. At Artie's this is a fine option, but only a small part of the large and varied kitchen repertoire available at our dynamic dining establishment. |
